I have worked for the SDCCD for 23 years at both Mesa College and at City College. Over the course of those years I have worked as a Preschool Teacher working in a multi-age classroom and now I currently oversee and work in our Infant/Toddler program.
I am also a Mentor Teacher for the California Early Childhood Mentor Program. In this capacity I help to guide and navigate college students through the Child Development program within the community college system. These students are placed in my classroom, where they learn and gain hands on experience working with young children.
I am a Certified Childbirth and Lactation Educator, which allows me to help guide parents in our program. I teach classes to couples through the Women’s Education Department at Sharp Mary Birch Hospital for Women and Newborns.
In my personal life, I am married with four wonderful children and one grandson.
